No longer Lily the drink
Last updated at 12:22pm on 29.10.08The streets of London could be a little quieter after notorious caner Lily Allen told us she's giving the booze a rest.The singer completed a DJ set at a club last night without touching a drop, and told The Eye she's taking it easy for a while.
Lil, 23, has come a cropper on the sauce more than a few times this year. She had an infamous spat on stage with Sir Elton John at the GQ Man Of The Year Awards last month after a few too many glasses of fizz.

And who could forget the time The Eye had to physically carry her out of the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in June because she was so sozzled?
But last night she just had a bottle of water by her side as she performed a DJ set at Crystal nightclub off Oxford Street. She said: “I enjoyed the night, but I'm not drinking at all.”
Earlier in the week, Lily wrote on her MySpace blog that she'd been suffering from flu, adding: “I haven't even had a drink in weeks so it's definitely not self inflicted.”
We hear the singer, 23, pocketed a tidy £10,000 for her one-hour set, and it didn't even look like she was really DJing. Our snap shows her looking on as a friend — in a bowler hat and a moustache — does all the work.
An onlooker said: “Lily was wearing headphones, and looked like she was having a great time, but a male pal was often on the computerised decks, especially when songs changed.”
While we're delighted to hear that Lily is cutting down on her vices (how long will it last?), we couldn't help noticing that she is still addicted to Monster Munch.
As she left the venue with her moustached chum last night, we noticed he was carrying the snacks as discreetly as possible. They tucked into them on the way home.
Kimberly Stewart was one of the celeb guests at the Lipsy party, organised by publicist Jonathan Lipman. She was there with Amy Winehouse's pal Blake Wood. A clubber told us: “It was hilarious to watch. When Kim went to the toilet, Blake followed two steps behind, then waited for her outside.” Aah, bless.

Lily Allen doesn't need to drink, she just needs to cut down, the rumor that she drinks too much, she's sober all the time, it's the papers that do this to her. By the way When did Kimberly Stewart become a celebrity, and for doing what? It's good to know Lily Allen, can go back to doing what she does well, sing and write songs, an album delay doesn't make somebody a has been in my book.
