Plain Kates Moss and Hudson on the plane

Updated 15:38pm on 31 Oct 2008

They say the camera never lies. And even if you are one of the world's most beautiful women the lenses and flashbulbs are guaranteed to show off your every flaw.

Pale: Kate Moss last night

On the one day they forgo the make-up for a long-haul flight, actress Kate Hudson and supermodel Kate Moss are snapped looking less than their usual immaculate selves. Moss, 34, displayedan uneven and pale complexion and straw-like hair as she jetted into Los Angeles last night.

Tired: Kate Hudson has an off day

Meanwhile, 29-year-old Hudson, who was flying out of the city, tried to hide her tired-looking face.

Usual look: the Kates as we know them

I agree with Janey. Kate Moss is a moose. Its all hype due to having powerful friends in the media and retail trade.

It's nice to see them without make up. It's a real morale booster to all of us girls.
It is also brave of them to show their real face. Well done! Let's hope to see them and others more often in the same light.

The right side of Moss's nose appears to be caving in more & more; I wonder what causes that? As for Hudson, I would never have recognised her from the "off day" pic: so that's what she REALLY looks like!

And this is why I get so blooming mad when Kate Moss is reported as a beauty - she ISNT.

She is just a scrawny woman who struts and pouts well.
