Tom won't like Katie's heels

We never picked Katie Holmes as a dominatrix - but these shiny leather shoes could suggest otherwise.

Restrained: Katie did not follow up with the fetish look of her shoes, opting for a cardi, shirt and skirt

The actress stepped out in these killer four-inch heels as she left her apartment in New York. Thankfully, she balanced the kinky shoes out with a safe grey cardigan and plain white shirt that were more befitting of her demure demeanour.

Strapped in: Kate Holmes steps out in her fetish-style four-inch heels

She was without her hubby Tom Cruise, which is probably just as well. The diminutive actor would barely have come up to her waist with her in these towering heels. Katie, 29, was on her way to work in Broadway where she is appearing in the theatre production All My Sons. The former Dawson's Creek star has received mixed reviews so far but that hasn't stopped people going to see the play in droves. Indeed, it was the highest-grossing play on Broadway in its first full week of previews, pulling in £420,000.

What do critics know, eh?

With the rest of the outfit, they look even more ridiculous - woolly cardi, dominatrix sandals - nah...

- Helen, London, UK

They really are ghastly. And they don't go with her homely looks and clothes.

- Delphine, Oxford

They're vile.
If Tom doesn't like them then he has good taste.
