Tensions are mounting on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! after Robert Kilroy-Silk snapped at WAG Carly Zucker.

The MEP was washing dishes after dinner on the first day when Zucker, a fitness instructor, came to check he was doing it properly.

Kilroy-Silk, 66, who seems to be taking on the mantle of camp bully, said: “I came down here to save you lot the trouble and you come down here to supervise!”

She replied: “We're doing it right — know what I mean.”

Kilroy-Silk snapped: “ No I don't. You're a control freak.” He also called her a “nightmare”.

And if Zucker, who is engaged to Chelsea player Joe Cole, is used to getting her own way, she soon found Kilroy-Silk was no pushover, as he and Simon Webbe went to collect wood and he refused to let her come. She said: “I did think that Robert being a gentleman would have stepped down and said you go first.”

But Robert said: “I wasn't being naughty. Sometimes you have to be straightforward and say no. She's more forward, pushy and intrusive.”

The camp agreed Zucker, 24, was “bossy” but Esther Rantzen, 68, had some kind words for her. She told Zucker: “It's a very tricky situation. You're meeting us for the first time. You came up with really good plans.”

Zucker has already burst into tears on the ITV1 show saying she was “homesick”, and she also told the camp how frightened she is of bugs, spiders and sleeping outdoors.

My heart bleeds....

Given the level of "talent" on this programme surely a better title would be "I'm non entity, is anyone even watching this dross?".

- Bob, Cheam

No Dianne, it would be better if he just gave the money to charity and got on with his very well-paid "job" of representing his constituents in the European Parliament. Why a politician would even do this show is beyond me - clearly the huge salary and lavish expense account are not enough to satisfy his enormous ego.

- Nicky, London

I am so sick of the patronising, egotistical poor excuse of a celebrity (even a man), Kilroy Silk. who the hell does he think he is telling Carly Zucker at the hotel that she should not say who she is engaged to. That is the reason most people know her. Lets face it this is from the man who was sacked from his TV show for being racist, perhaps we should add sexist too.

- E Sullivan, London

Kilroy-Silk is just a truley vile individual - like most politicians when they're not putting on the act of public service, kissing babies etc.

Zucker's certainly no celebrity and is only there because she's latched onto a footballer ... but homesick after a couple days? What is she, age 5?

- John, London

Yes it would be better if he spend his time on a millionare`s yacht and not doing a charity act then he would fit in better with the other minister and everyone would be happy again , What a load of two faced people.

- Dianne Guy, Yorkshire

Always thought he was an obnoxious man,now I can see I was right, give the phoney scouser with th phoney accent his marching orders.

- Michael Campbell, londonderry n ireland

I feel for Carly - Clearly Kilroly-Silk is going to be trouble and is a bully. So what if Carly is Fitness Instructor and engaged to Joe Cole. She has a career and is quite intelligent.

- Kate Benton, Hoddesdon Herts

Nl, true, it doesn't make her a celebrity, but then there are several of them whose celebrity credentials are highly questionable (the glamour model Nicola is clearly only there for two obvious reasons. Carly quite rightly told him that she is Joe Cole's fiance because she knows that's why she's there, not because she's a fitness instructor. Kilroy's brusque response revealed his complete lack of manners.

- Nicky, London

Kilroy Silk is the control-freak nightmare, if you ask me. He started on Carly at the hotel, biting her head off when she answered his question about who she is and he hasn't let up since. He is clearly a controlling bully, I hope she stands up to him.

- Nicky, London

Maybe i missed something last night but I didnt think carly was coming across bossy or annoying, however kilroy-silk is an absolutely vile man - which we all know and is why, thankfully he no longer graces our screens. He will patronising and rude towards her from the minute he met her, asked her what she did and then responded that she should keep the fact she in engaged to Joe Cole to herself, as noone wants to know that!! Its all entertainment but he will regret going into this by the time he is through and if he was hoping to get some work on TV - no chance...Im sure his family must have been left mortified already by him and his arrogance.

- Nicky, London

He doesnt believe she should be there becuase she isn't a 'celebrity'; when asked what she does, she replieds " fitness instructor and fiancee of a chelsea/ england footballer" . Who cares?! what on earth is she doing on there quite frankly... ridiculous
