Amy blanks Blake to hit pub till 4am

Updated 11:30am on 18 Nov 2008

Amy Winehouse went to see her husband in rehab for the first time yesterday - but left it so late to depart from her home that she ended up missing visiting hours. The singer had been ordered to stay away from the Surrey clinic where Blake Fielder-Civil is staying as part of his parole conditions.

Today's the day: Amy Winehouse, out last night, plans to visit her husband Blake today

The pair have not seen each other since he left prison two weeks ago. She was finally allowed to see him yesterday but did not leave her home until 4pm - meaning she would not have made it to the Life Works rehab centre in Old Woking until after visiting hours had closed.

Bizarrely, Amy jumped into her cab and tried to make it anyway. But just five minutes into her journey, she turned the taxi around and headed back to her Camden home. She had barely made it as far as Regents Park. Earlier, the mother of Amy's goddaughter Dionne Bromfield visited Amy's pad, and said: "I don't think Amy's going to leave the house today. Things aren't going great between [her and Blake] at the moment."

However, around 1.30am, the 25-year-old singer did emerge from her home and managed to make it within visiting hours of her local boozer The Hawley Arms, where she stayed until 4am.

On her way home, she told photographers that she planned to see Blake, 26 , today, adding that today was their 18-month wedding anniversary.

A source at the rehab centre told The Eye: "Blake is doing great. He's doing well and is in good spirits." Blake said last week: "We have spoken on the phone and I'm expecting a visit from her at any time now. We can't wait to be back together again."

Of course, that will all depend upon whether Amy can even get out of bed this morning - after such a late night in the pub.

Good luck with that...

Because there is no one else around that makes the mark at the moment Amy Winehouse
seems to be held in highregard. No wonder the depression is coming.

I am a real fan of Amy. She has a fine voice, and I love her songs, even though I am old enough that I was at The Beatles first U.S. concert in Dallas in 1964. If the internet had been up every musician's butt back then, like it is now, with paparazzi watching their every move, nobody would've appreciated the likes of Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, on and on. I, for one, am pulling for Amy to kick her problems with alcohol and heavy drugs, and I hope she lives long enough to rock on for many more years. She needs to get into the studio and make music, which is what she does best. Give her time to finish growing up/ Love ya Amy!

Amy is the only real musician in the charts. She has an addiction problem, so did many of the greats. I think the real shame is she won't be around that long. Her music is a breath of fresh air to the mainstream drivel that gets churned out by the machine. So many female singers have jumped on the band wagon but they're all dross, you can't fake real soul.
The girl is her own worst enemy, with her antics she leaves her self open to likes of those who feel they can take the moral high-ground. Never judge a man/woman till you've walked a mile their shoes. ;-)

She has done one okay song. Actually I heard it played yesterday and it did
nothing for me. Songs that stand the test of time evoke emotions.

Amy needs to fix up! I really dont get why she chooses to waste her time on this waste of space that she calls her husband. Talent doesnt begin to describe her. I remember when I first her her songs my ears just pricked up with excitement, bwoy could she sing. Now she just looks like a joke on stage, a skinny little dirty crack ridden joke. Its just so sad to see her looking mashed, dirty and skinny like she hasnt eaten for days or even weeks. She needs a good bath and and some decent basic dental care i.e. toothbrush and toothpaste! But bottom line is she's just another crack addict, another let down, for her sake I hope she pulls herself together but if she dont she'll die and there are so many other real talented people just waiting to get thier break.
