Jungle air turns a shade blue...

TV presenters Ant and Dec caused controversy today with a foul-mouthed conversation live on air. Viewers of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! complained to TV watchdogs about their outburst.

Complaints: Hosts Ant and Dec on the show

After contestant Nicola McLean completed a Bushtucker Trial in which she ate a kangaroo testicle, Ant described the task as “the dog's b*****ks”. Dec replied: “No, it's the kangaroo's b*****ks,” before Ant retorted: “And the crocodile's b*****ks and his penis.”

Their exchange came almost half an hour after the 9pm watershed, but an Ofcom spokesman said: “We have received complaints about the broadcast on Monday. These are being assessed against our Broadcasting Code.”

ITV director of channels Peter Fincham defended the swearing, saying: “I was watching it and I was not offended.”

Meanwhile, contestant Dani Behr fears she may be pregnant after vomiting for two days and feeling faint. Dani, 34, married with two children, told fellow campers: “I feel bad. I hope it isn't morning sickness.”

Producers will send a pregnancy test into the camp to find out if she is expecting and, if she is, may pull her from the show to avoid putting Dani or the baby at risk.

Can you believe that our economy is in meltdown, small defenseless children are being beaten to death under the noses of our so called caring social system yet the government are willing to spend money looking into whether or not the 'b' word has offended a couple of people....at least Ant and Dec give the nation some light relief and entertainment....who cares about the b word.

I can't believe their in trouble for saying "b*****ks”. They've got to be kidding. No "b*****ks” but penis is ok? Some people are just wound too tight.

Julie, you are correct to say that there are horrors occuring all around the world. Yet Kilroy, one of our MEP's, who has already come under fire for his poor attendance at the European Parliament, will miss important voting on the climate change package, the pesticide directive and the working time directive to name but a few.

Oh please, what is wrong with some people, given some of the horrors going on around the world how can they offended by a few "distasteful" expressions! Get a life!
