Kylie Minogue pocketed the easiest pay cheque she will ever earn when she netted £1.5 million for singing 10 songs.

Raunchy: Kylie during her £1.5m show

For the maths fans out there, that's £150,000 a song, or £500 a word for I Should Be So Lucky. The Aussie singer performed on a giant stage in front of the 2,000 guests, and admitted beforehand she was “immeasurably nervous” about her set.

Showgirl: Despite only 10 songs, Kylie managed an outfit change

But she didn't need to worry. The star-studded crowd danced and sang along to some of her oldest and best-loved hits.

Afterwards, Kylie had some words of comfort for her sister Dannii, who has been outshone somewhat by new X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole. Kylie said: “Dannii is really good on it and it's a hard job to do. I couldn't do it.”

Not for less than £1.5m anyway, eh Kylie?

OK Kylie, you are already a multi millionaire. How about donating that little lot to charity. We've just had Children in Need, I'm sure they could make good use of that kind of dosh. Or how about a Breast Cancer charity? At times of credit crunch this woudl be the decent thing to do.
