‘Lies and empty promises' rant by mistress in Ramsay affair

The writer alleged to have been Gordon Ramsay's mistress of seven years has composed a bitter internet rant about being the other woman.

Bitter blog: Sarah Symonds laments all of the 'waiting' she has done as a mistress

Sarah Symonds, 38, who has written a book on infidelity, said on her blog to other mistresses: “Just think back on all of the lies and empty promises he has ever fed you. Think of all the soul-destroying waiting' you have allowed yourself to endure by being his secret woman.”

The advice was left months before the allegations of the affair with the TV chef came to light and gives some insight into her motivations.

On the blog, she speaks of the “pain” of adulterous relationships and advises mistresses not to fall in love with a married man “who does not love you, who has lied to you (and is lying to his wife and his family) and who you have no chance of a future with.”

Crisis: Tana and Gordon have presented a united front thus far

Ramsay and his wife Tana, who have four children, have put up a united front and are said to have held crisis talks to save their 12-year marriage.

According to a friend, Ramsay has denied the claims that Symonds was his mistress of seven years, telling 33-year-old Tana he only met her four times.

But he has yet to publicly deny that he cheated on those occasions.

Tana was still putting on a brave face today as she stepped out with Gordon. But a friend said Ramsay, 42, was “devastated” by the uproar and has apologised to his wife.

“Gordon was honest with Tana,” the source said. “It was the least he could do in light of all that's happened. He is so remorseful over putting her and the kids through such an ordeal.

He's also very angry and says a lot of it is complete b*****ks.” The allegations came to light when a Sunday newspaper said the pair had a tryst as recently as last Thursday.

Does Gordon cook the same thing for dinner every day ? Everybody likes variety. Tara is attractive but needs a makeover.

Sara is attractive to me, I don't see any problems when she is blonde.

I am surprised that Ramsay would choose a woman like Sarah...she is a self confessed mistress who is unattractive and completely unglamourous. You could somewhat understand if she was stunning, beautifully groomed, did not have two toned hair and dark lip liner around her lips...she is completely wrong...Hope her book flops and his ego gets deflated from his shameful behaviour.

think people attack the woman because she is now sellling her story expecting sympathy. What does she expect?! affairs go on all the time, both man and woman are to blame. Of course it takes two. however, if you aren't the one in the marriage then don't go selling stories about how he hasnt left his wife yet... they never do! Get over it and stop seeking fame and fortune for all the wrong reasons.

A little rich for someone who has boasted of having a "career" as a glorified prostitute who purposely seeks out married men to claim that she is the one who has been wronged. Simple - just don't do it, when you clearly know that the man has a wife/partner. Not that any of it speaks well of the "men" involved, either.

I love the fact that these comments subject the woman to verbal abuse, yet the man who has betrayed his wife and family isn't to blame at all???! We have a real issue in this country with vilifying women - as though men are helpless creatures who can't possibly be intelligent enough to be held responsible for their actions.

What shocking comments - it takes two to tango! No one truly knows what is really going on in any of these relationships.

I thought having a mistress was par for the course for the "gentry" of the U K.
You just don't get found out.
As for the mistresses. Expect just the sex. Thas is all you are there for is it not?

What did she expect, a mistress is someone who is too lazy to go dating, so she latches onto someone who is desperate for a fling. This of course never lasts, because it is just a fling with someone who was bored with married life. It is easy to pickup desperate people, it takes work to find someone of your own. So stop whining you lazy girl, and go dating, the only person to blame is yourself.

Here's an idea Sarah, how about you go and find yourself a man who isn't already in a relationship and then you won't have to lament all the soul destroying waiting you have allowed yourself!!

Mind you, now that she has 'fessed up to seeing Jeffrey Archer, she is going to be looking for a long time...
