Ramsay mistress joins website that sets up affairs

Updated 13:41pm on 1 Dec 2008

The woman who claims she had a seven year affair with Gordon Ramsay is the spokeswoman of an infidelity agency, we can reveal today.

Affair: Sarah Symonds says she saw chef for seven years

Sarah Symonds, the author of Having An Affair: A Handbook For The Other Woman about her own adulterous flings, including one with Jeffrey Archer, is the face of Ashley Madison, an agency that links people in long-term relationships with potential extra-marital lovers.

And despite writing bitterly on her blog about the "lies and empty promises" a mistress has to put up with, she is endorsing other women to sign up to the American website which now has a UK arm. The company, which has the motto: "Life is too short. Have an affair," has close to 3 million members and is the largest dating service of its kind.

Miss Symonds said: "I am looking forward to breaking the shell of hypocrisy that surrounds the whole topic of adultery."

Her appointment came months before the allegations of her affair with the TV chef came to light. Ramsay, 42 and his wife Tana, 33, have put up a united front in the wake of claims that he had cheated on her. But Miss Symonds has added to the rumours by claiming at the weekend that Ramsay has also had two other affairs.

She seems so proud of what she thinks she has accomplished. I guess she has to pretend to herself she is irrisistible to men. Poor woman or should I say poor old bag.
