Posh: I'm no fame Junkie

Victoria Beckham has denied being fame-hungry and said the only grand entrance she makes is through a restaurant kitchen.
Defending herself against accusations that she and her soccer star husband David constantly crave public and media attention, Posh Spice said the family live very quiet lives in Los Angeles.

'We don't court fame': Posh says she and David like a quiet night in
"We lead our lives in a much more low-profile way than people think. I'm not going to The Ivy in Beverly Hills. I don't think I've been to a premiere since we moved there.
"We're not courting fame. I can give you a list of numerous restaurants that have underground parking so no one can get any photographs.
"Underground car parks and kitchens - that's my grand entrance. But in LA, at least we can be freer. I think the obsession with celebrity is worse in the UK than in America." Speaking on the eve of the British launch of her debut fashion collection, the former Spice Girl said her idea of a thrilling night in is watching a DVD with David.
Victoria, 34, added that she likes to unwind in the bath and go to bed early with a notepad "because I'm always thinking of things in the middle of the night".
And she insisted she's never been one to seek validation from other people. She said: "I don't really care what people think. I never made friends easily. For years, when I was in the Spice Girls, those were my four best friends. Now I've got David.
"Nothing has ever come particularly naturally to me. It's made me a hard worker and very disciplined." The Spice Girls may have been her biggest success but she said she always wanted to be a fashion designer.
"I was never that good a singer but I think I am good at fashion. Being in the Spice Girls probably didn't open any doors. I've had to bang them down."
Victoria's dress collection goes on sale tomorrow at Selfridges in London and Manchester in sizes 8-14 costing from £650 to £1,900.
In the interview with The Times, she defended herself against critics who say she had little input into the designs, which were created by her designer friend Roland Mouret.
"Do I draw? No. Then again, nor do lots of designers. But I put it all on myself and walk around in it and I know what feels comfortable."

she has made her own money, quite a few million from the Spice Girls... plus perhaps the children were part of her reason for keeping her marriage together. People should stop making judgements on things/people they don't actually know!

we should admire her - for someone from 'backward uk ltd' she manages a lot. the only thing that annoys me is how seriously she poses etc - doesnt seem quite as comfortable in front of the cameras as many others who clearly prefer the front door. relax v, have a bit more fun... just looking at photos of you stresses me out!

She made a shrewed move in marrying golden""""ocks Becks. Even after he had an affair she wouldn't be parted from his money. A talentless egotistical look at me lips on a stick.

Leave her alone. Blimey, I'm not in the Posh fan club but give the girl a break. She worked very hard to get where she did and probably a bit easier for her now but so what?! She was in one of the biggest girl bands the world had ever seen (and no not def wasnt a spice girls fan but fair does if other people want to buy their music....). Most people are just jealous unfortunately.

Why walk around with full make up, skyscraper heels & top to toe designer clothes if you are not "courting fame?"!! You don't make friends easily because you talk rubbish!!!!

So she "puts on" clothes that other people have designed and "walks around" in them? Yes, dear, you are a REAL fashion designer and having "your" collection had absolutely nothing to do with cashing in on your, or rather your husband's, name...
