Oceans of booze for Clooney and Damon

George Clooney and Matt Damon rolled into town last night, and kept it very real indeed. Well, as real as a couple of Hollywood superstars can. Dressed in caps like "regular guys", the pair hit the town with a group of pals - including Cindy Crawford's husband Rande Gerber and Matt's wife Luciana Barroso.

Perfect: George shows he's happy at the bar of Whisky Mist

Their night began at 10pm when they went to eat at Mayfair's Nobu Berkeley - the sister restaurant to the flagship Nobu in Park Lane.

Perhaps they wanted to avoid the usual throng outside the original sushi house. But it didn't work.

Outside they were mobbed by dozens of snappers when they left at midnight, leading George to cry: "Jeez! How many photographers does this town have?"

Night off: Matt Damon heads home after a quiet meal with his wife Luciana Barroso

Matt, 38, and Luciana called it a night and went back to their hotel, while George and the boys headed to nearby Whisky Mist. Inside the bar, the 47-year-old actor turned down the offer of a VIP table to stand at the bar with his pals.

Our spy said: "It turned a few heads to see George standing at the bar, but he seemed totally at ease there.

"He didn't want a fuss and turned down the offer of his own table. While most stars lay into the champagne and bottles of vodka, George and his pals just drank basic whisky cocktails. They just looked like a group of regular guys."
