Alex: No sex... but I do have a few old flames

Updated 13:03pm on 15 Dec 2008

No-one can hold a candle to The X Factor winner Alexandra Burke - although the producers of her new video clearly tried their damnedest.

The clip for her cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah was shown on GMTV this morning, where the 20-year-old said she planned to recreate the duet she performed with Beyoncé on Saturday's final.

Alex said it was a "dream come true" to perform with Beyoncé on the show, and admitted she cried backstage because she was so excited to talk to her. "I was telling her 'how much I love you, I want to be like you' - she was a bit overwhelmed," she told GMTV's Fiona Phillips.

Asked whether they would be performing together again, she replied: "I did pop that question in. That's going to be discussed and fingers crossed, she wants to do a duet with me."

She said she would also like to duet with Leona Lewis as well as her mentor Cheryl Cole's band Girls Aloud. "I would love to do a duet with Leona Lewis, to show the world how different we are," she said.

Alex also confirmed that Cheryl has slapped a sex ban on her, adding: "She wants me to keep away from men." But Alex was happy with the arrangement, saying she would concentrate on her singing... for now.

Maybe Cheryl should have applied a similar ban to herself - oh no, wait a sec - that's one of the main reasons that the Press still pay so much attention to her. That and whether she's a size 8 or a size 6...
