Lily Allen was enjoying a rather warmer start to 2009 than those of us in freezing London.
The singer was photographed on a yacht in the Caribbean with several male acquaintances and wading in the surf on a St Barts beach.
Allen, 23, appeared to be particularly close to one of her companions amid suggestions that this could be the new, older boyfriend she has been hinting at recently. Her previous two boyfriends, DJ Seb Chew and Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers, have both been older.
Allen has been in the Caribbean for a week, but is due back in London this month where she will play at Koko in Camden. Her new record, It's Not Me, It's You, is released next month.

Hey Al and Malcolm, I too thought that 'live' meant 'now'. But in fact it means it was live when recorded! If you can get your head round that one. Paul O'Grady ads the current days show as live wearing the day befores clothing and Deal or no deal was giving Christmas shopping breaks to contestants only a couple of days before Christmas, to name but 2 and then of course there is the Strictly come dancing fiasco of the results on Sunday - live - when it has been revealed they are filmed after the first show on a Saturday evening - are we gullible or what

The Jools Holland programme has never been live, unfortunately. The performers obviously think that they have better things to do than promote themselves on New Year's........

I was interested to read Ed Harris's article in today's Standard[02/01/09],with accompanying pictures showing Lily Allen on holiday in the Caribbean.According to the article,Miss Allen had been there for the week, and is not returning to the UK until next week.I would therefore like to know who I,and millions of other viewers were watching live on Jools Hollands Hootananny no New Years Eve?

I assume the Jools Holland New Year's Eve programme wasn't live then, she was singing on it.
