Cheryl: Posh's fashion is a bit too old for me

Cheryl Cole has dealt a fresh blow to her friendship with Victoria Beckham by criticising her fashion range.

The Girls Aloud singer already said she was “shocked” that her fellow WAG did not get in touch after she found out husband Ashley had cheated on her.

WAG wars: Cheryl said her and Posh had bonded during the World Cup in 2006

Now she has distanced herself further from Posh, saying that her line of 10 dresses is for “older women” and “not something (Girls Aloud) would wear”.

In an interview with The Guardian, Cole, 25, was quick to dismiss the range, which costs between £650 and £1,900 and only caters for women up to a size 14.

Her bandmate Kimberley Walsh hurriedly interjected, saying: “She means older than us!”, but Cole still made the point that none of the dresses would be in her wardrobe.

Frock shock: one of Posh's dresses

The X factor judge first stuck the knife into Beckham in an interview with Vogue, saying she had bonded with her during the World Cup, but was then disappointed she didn't call after Ashley had a one-night stand with a hairdresser.

She said: “David's mum is friends with Ashley's mum, she (Victoria) was in my hotel room the whole time during the World Cup — we've had barbecues together — so I was quite shocked by that.”

In the same interview she also dismissed other WAGs as “wooden blocks”, Alexa Chung as “superior” and Peaches Geldof as “up herself”.

But if Ashley's affair did not garner sympathy with Beckham — who herself had the humiliation of her own husband's alleged affair with Rebecca Loos in 2004 — it sparked public support as Cole was today named the celebrity women would most like to be their best friend.

A spokesman for internet researchers onepoll.com said: “She might be a famous singer and TV star, but she still comes across as being a normal girl you could have a good night out and gossip with.”

Listen to you all! did you hear cheryl say this....? you are all feeding of the media
If she did say that about Victoria's dresses then Cheryl is entitled to her own opinion...

it does not matter where someone came from its what they make of there lives that count.

Cheryl, You think you are on the UP and conquering the world (US with the help of Simon Cowell?) and start bad mouthing Victoria thinking that you can replace her as No.1 WAG - no way. First of all, Posh is a very good mother of THREE children. Secondly, she is a loving and loyal wife to David. As a mother and wife of a football icon, I think her style is chic, stylish and wearable. Sour grapes come to mind.

I think Cheryl Cole is right, those clothes are really for older women, bcos no young lady would want to be seen going around wearing that except for only business meetings and to work .Talking about classy, there are there are so many fashion designers here in the states that have classy but not so boring clothes like her's.Alot of people and stylist have commented on some of her drresses as boring.

- Glitest, MD USA

Once a chav always a chav. Money can buy you a lot of things Cheryl, but it can buy you class. Maybe that's why Posh hasn't called you!

- Jk, Kent

Is it me or does Posh look like Axl Rose in that picture?

- Bobby, London, UK

hink the clothes are too classy for Ms Cole somehow

- Nl, london

Hilarious comment NI! I also agree with Daisy. It seems she suddenly has the media on her side & we are all suppsed to love her, but those chinks in the 'chav' armour will keep showing themselves

- Kh, London UK

Listen, guys, Victoria's fashion is a bit old for Cheryl Cole, big whoop!

- Lindsay, Reading, UK

Say what you like about Victoria but she DOES know about fashion and other than the dresses she is 'involved' with ARE for a more mature woman (than Cheryl and her crew), they are also for women who are stylish, self assured and demure - NOT for a jumped up, gobby Georgie who thinks herself the cats pyjama's.

I think Victoria 'dresses' herself whilst I think some else dresses Cheryl. And it shows.

Victoria wears the clothes and the clothes 'wear' Cheryl.

think the clothes are too classy for Ms Cole somehow

Chery Cole seems to be everyones darling at the moment but if she keeps shooting her mouth off at every opportunity she gets she'll be popular for all the wrong reasons. Stop It!

- Daisy, Islington, London

But none of those dresses are "Victoria's" anyway! Designed by someone else, made by another person and bought by women who are very gullible (and thin).
