Charlotte Church plans a summer wedding

Updated 11:31am on 14 Jan 2009

Wedding Bells may finally be ringing out for Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson after the birth of their second child. We're told Gavin promised Charlotte they would get married after their son was born, and they are now making plans for a summer wedding.

Marriage plans: Gavin Henson and Charlotte Church

The singer and presenter, 22, gave birth to Dexter Lloyd at their home in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, on Sunday.

They already have 15-month-old Ruby, so now it seems they have the perfect family set up.

A source said: "Gavin had promised her they'd get married after the new baby was born. So far the couple have avoided the issue of marriage because it will involve such a big wedding and so much organisation and they've always been too busy to get it together. They'd love to have one ceremony in Wales with the family and one in an exotic location.

"Now that their son has arrived, they are under even more pressure from their families so they'd like to tie the knot this summer. Once Charlotte is back to feeling slim and happy with her looks she'll want to be a bride, and Gavin is ready for it.

"Until now, they've both felt that having children together has meant a lot more than a wedding in terms of commitment.

"They feel they have the perfect family, a girl and boy, and now they want to make it even more perfect by marrying."

Charlotte will have little trouble paying for the ceremony, having reportedly signed a £ 700,000 exclusive deal with OK magazine for first pictures of Dexter.
