Jonathan Ross sneaks back to work at Beeb

Jonathan Ross slipped out the back of his north London home today as he returned to work for the first time since a three-month suspension for making obscene phone calls to actor Andrew Sachs while guesting on a Russell Brand radio show.

Early start: Ross sets off

He was recording Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, which stars Tom Cruise and Stephen Fry. It will be broadcast on BBC1 tomorrow. Meanwhile, Radio One host Chris Moyles showed no remorse over his Auschwitz joke on Tuesday, for which he has not said sorry, and has continued to make crude gags on his show.

The latest outburst by Moyles, 34, comes a month after he was forced to apologise for quips about Polish women making good prostitutes.

The BBC said today that Moyles's show will continue to be broadcast, but added: "We regret that his comments were misjudged and we are speaking to Chris."
