She's always fancied herself as a bit of a groupie, joining Pete Doherty on stage and singing on some of his records. But Kate Moss's hopes of making sweet music with current boyfriend Jamie Hince have been dashed by his Kills bandmate Alison Mosshart, who has dismissed the idea as "totally inappropriate".
The 35-year-old supermodel has been trying to muscle in on the rock two-piece, as she did with Doherty's band.
But Alison said she wouldn't be interested in collaborating with Kate, adding: "I don't understand how it would be appropriate. I don't think she would understand how it would be appropriate."
Kate appeared in several videos with Pete, and joined him on stage for duets during their relationship for songs such as KP Nuts - much to the chagrin of Pete's bandmates.
But Jamie and Alison operate as a very tight unit, and it looks like Kate hasn't been successful in worming her way in.
Alison insisted that Kate hadn't changed anything between her and Jamie, adding: "Of course not. No, nothing between us has changed. We've known each other for 12 years, we're best friends. Of course not.
"I don't see how we could possibly be any closer! We spend 24 hours a day together most of the time and we have done so for the past billion years, it seems like."
Alison also revealed that Jamie hasn't officially moved into
Kate's St John's Wood mansion, and that he is still technically her flatmate.
She added: "We own an art space that we live in, but he doesn't sleep there as often as he used to. But yes, we are still flatmates."
