Peaches hunts for her own NY pad
Last updated at 12:22pm on 03.02.09Peaches Geldof is shopping for her own New York apartment, away from the home she set up with her husband Max Drummey. The move is the clearest indication yet that the couple's marriage may be nearing its end.

Moving on: Peaches Geldof and Max Drummey
Peaches, 19, is ditching Brooklyn and looking for a more “grown up” place for herself in Manhattan. The 19-year-old revealed: “I'm shopping for a nice apartment in the city, hopefully in Soho or the Lower East Side. I'm an adult, and I've got plenty of money. It's time I stopped slumming it.”
Slumming it? We can hardly imagine Peaches slumming it.
Peaches moved into her Williamsburg apartment in Brooklyn after marrying Max five months ago, but it looks like she's ready to leave it, and him, behind.
There has already been talk of divorce when Peaches told pals she had enough of Max in November. Since then the couple have tried to make a go of it. But we're told: “It's not exactly working out as Peaches had planned. She is very keen to move on and up with her life and that is what the move to Manhattan is about.”
Peaches spent New Year apart from Max, and the couple haven't been snapped together for months.
They got married in August at a chapel in Las Vegas after a very short courtship, and had each
other's names tattooed onto their hands (oh dear!).
Reports last week suggested Peaches might be moving on after swapping numbers with grime singer and clothing designer Tinchy Stryder.
A pal said: “She is still texting him constantly being really flirty. He thinks she's a nice girl but he's finding all the messaging a bit weird, especially since she's married.”

When the system gives you so much freedom to do what they want, who are we to try to show them the right way. You get freedom as early as 16, you decide to do adult stuff as early as possbile....and you face the consequences...I say the system is responsible for some of the behavioural pattern among kids/adolecents/teenagers, these days, celebrity or no celebrity. The parents are monitored llike crazy..... Its almost like your own kids belong to the system...Iunderstand the fact that there are crazy 'parents' out there, but the sytem is destroying a generation of kids by giving them tpo much freedom....Britney spears is lucky she has a father who quickly stepped in to tak absolute control because she went 'bunkers'....Lindsay Lohan is heading for 'TROUBLE'. You can only closely monitor them until they are 16. Then you pray and hope they turn out good...considering external factors...My heart goes out to all parents definitely trying their best!!!

She may have no income of her own (well, not earned anyway) but dear Saint Bob does and, instead of doing what a responsible father would, i.e. stopping her allowance immediately and drag her home for a good talking-to, he's too busy saving the world.

That's all very well, but as she's not a celeb and has no visible income, the US may not grant her residency! And anyway, who CARES ???
