Christian Bale's shock rant leaked
Updated 12:41pm on 3 Feb 2009A sound clip of Christian Bale tearing into a crew member on the set of the new Terminator film has been released on the internet — and it is an absolute shocker.

Dark mood: Christian Bale
The intense actor went nuts at Terminator: Salvation's director of photography for three and a half minutes for interrupting a scene, at one point telling him he was going to “kick his f***ing ass”. He threatened to quit unless the man was fired, yelling: “No, don't just be sorry! Think for one f***ing second! What the f*** are you doing? Are you professional or not?”
The dressing down was given last July, although the victim, DP Shane Hurlbut, doesn't hold a grudge. He said: “This was my second movie with Christian, and it has always been a good experience with him.”

I stoingly disagree with you Kate. I feel he had justification for going off. If someone walks in front of a multimillion dollar movie and distracts the main star more than once it's disgraceful. We've all had our tantrums, it's only making headlines because it's Christian Bale.

Whilst this rant went on too long I dont see what was wrong with this. This person had been inconsiderate before. This is a professional actor with someone messing about in the background. This is just unfortunate for CB to have this leaked. I can imagine other actors, like Cruise are the same & all we hear about other people are rumours in mags, but in this case we have the hard evidence. There will be more to this than meets the eye. I suspect that CB had not had a good day prior to this. Whilst thats no excuse for his behaviour would you not be miffed if someone was ruining your set?

What an animal, why does he think it is acceptable to behave in this way. Sounds like another Russell Crowe in the making... if I were the Director I would have called his bluff and let him quit - pig!

Discraceful. No one human should talk to another like Bale did. He just wouldn't let the issue go. I dont care how famous he is, he is an actor doing a job. Its the Director's job to pull someone up on a mistake.
Bale over reacted in this case. He should apologise if he hasn't already. And he should be ashamed of himself.
