In case you thought London didn't see enough snow this week, here's Anna Friel romping through more of the white stuff - indoors.

Is it Friel snow? Actress Anna Friel makes her entrance

A small avalanche was brought into the BBC studios for Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, to be broadcast tonight. The former Brookside actress stepped through it for her grand entrance on the chat show, wearing a little black dress slashed at the front. Friel, 32, who won critical acclaim for her US TV debut in Pushing Daisies, has now been offered three new shows, plus a Hollywood film co-starring funnyman Will Ferrell.

Frosty Woss: Jonathan Ross stumbling through the pile of snow brought into the studio for last night's recording

Ross's other guests tonight are Sir Tom Jones and actor Benicio Del Toro. After the recording Ross wrote on his Twitter blog: "Just came back from the show. All good. Tom Jones still got it, big time. Benicio even better-looking in the flesh, Anna Friel funny and smart."

Ross, 48, is still on his best behaviour after his suspension over the Andrew Sachs phone scandal. He will present the Baftas on Sunday and sponsors Orange are reportedly poring over the script to ensure there are no profanities. Ross is also to auction his copy of the first Spider-Man comic, worth at least £40,000, for Comic Relief.
