Amy Winehouse is a first class pain on flight home

Updated 12:21pm on 2 Mar 2009

Nobody enjoys having to come back home after a holiday in the sun - especially when it involves a long overnight flight. But while most people battle the mid-air boredom by reading a book, watching a movie or trying to get some sleep - Amy Winehouse treated her BA flight like a wild party in her Camden pad.

You know me: Amy Winehouse looks a little sheepish at Gatwick

Our source in the Club World section of BA2152 said the relative quiet on-board was shattered when Amy appeared from First Class, shouting incoherently and running up and down the aisles.

The source said: "I was pretty shocked to look up and see Amy Winehouse hurtling through the plane and shouting. It's just not what you expect."

The Rehab singer, 25, was travelling to Gatwick from Barbados, the neighbouring island to St Lucia where she has spent the last two months.

The source continued: "She had clearly been drinking and kept running between the different classes, which just isn't what people do on planes. It was an overnight flight, so most people were just watching films or trying to sleep, and Amy's antics really started annoying some other guests. She was acting more like a child than a star. It wasn't funny, it was just annoying."

There were even reports this morning that she had physically lashed out at a fellow passenger during the flight.

Amy's husband Blake Fielder-Civil was released from jail last week, and there has been a lot of conf licting speculation about whether the couple will get back together or divorce. Blake was met outside Edmunds Hill jail in Suffolk by his mum and German model Sophie Schandorff, with whom he has been spotted kissing and cuddling.

Whether they stay together or not, one thing is for certain: London will be a rowdier place now that Amy's back in town.
