Amy Winehouse moves into new Barnet pad
Updated 12:15pm on 3 Mar 2009Amy Winehouse has finally moved in to her new pad in Barnet — no doubt prompting a loud chorus of “No, no, no” from her new neighbours. It's not so much the arrival of the singer they will object to (we're sure many of them are fans), it's the perpetual scrum of photographers and hangers on milling about who are likely to cause offence.

New pad: Amy is to move into her Barnet home
Today we show the first picture of her new gated property, which is worth an estimated £1.4m.
While 25-year-old Amy has been soaking up the Caribbean sunshine with pals for the past two months, her mother Janis has been busy looking for a suitable property away from Camden — in a bid to give Amy a fighting chance to remain on the straight and narrow.
Her former north London home is said to hold bad memories of her time with Amy's estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
The five-bedroom Barnet house looks exactly like the sort of thing your mother would want you to live in. It comes with a large curved driveway and is landscaped with hedges and palm trees.

Comfortable: Amy Winehouse's Barnet house
But any attempt to keep her from slipping into her old ways could be scuppered by plans for a “welcome home” pub crawl in Camden this week. Our source said: “It has only been a few days since Amy has returned to London — but already her mates are eager to see her out on the town. A close pal has posted on Facebook that she is planning, along with a few other mates, a massive Camden pub crawl, including their former local haunts such as The Hawley Arms.”
Meanwhile, her old Camden flat looked a right mess yesterday, with old furniture and bin bags strewn about outside the front door.

I looked at your photo of Amy and almost didn't need to read the article. Why do the press have to choose their worst possible photo... Give the girl a break..
