Roll up, roll up for the Britney comeback tour
Last updated at 12:01pm on 04.03.09Britney Spears kicked off her Circus tour last night at the New Orleans Arena - in a bid to reclaim her former title as Princess of Pop.

And although she pulled off an amazing 90-minute set, according to US reports the troubled star was facing a backlash from her fans today after she was spotted lip-synching her way through some of her more energetic dance routines.

Everything was set in place to ensure her hugely anticipated comeback tour went off without a hitch. Months of training brought her back into shape, and the mother of two spent £500 on a range of raunchy Agent Provocateur outfits hoping to recapture her former sexy image.

The show featured 20 songs, including her crowd-pleasing hit Womanizer. And it seems that her sharp dance routines and newly toned figure were enough to win over the crowd and send them into a frenzy.

Speaking to her fans after her last song, she said: "Thank you New Orleans, I love you guys. Did y'all have a good time? Thank you so much." We can safely say that Britney's back!

If idiots are still prepared to pay to hear Britany and the media is still prepared to report her I cant blame her for milking it for as long as she can.

I like her as a person, but c'mon, she has always lip-synched through her shows. Have you ever seen any of her concerts? it is all about her dancing to recorded music and vocals.
Not worth the price of a ticket. Buy the DVD instead, it is cheaper!

I'm sorry, but judging from the photographs it looks like Catherine Tate in a sketch about Madonna.
