Walliams romance nipped in the Budd

Updated 12:49pm on 5 Mar 2009

David Walliams has ended his three-month relationship with girlfriend Lauren Budd, his spokesman has confirmed.

The comedian has been dating the lingerie model, 18, since January and appeared smitten with the leggy brunette.

Split: Lauren Budd and David Walliams

Lauren had also breathlessly revealed that David, 37, had charmed his way into her heart with his sense of humour, how much of a gentleman he was — and how their relationship had not progressed beyond holding hands, the odd snog, and whispering sweet nothings to each other over the dinner table.

The truth behind the collapse of their brief relationship remains unknown — but we think three months of holding hands and the ocassional peck on the cheek had to eventually take its toll.

David's “dad dancing” while at Raffles nightclub last month wouldn't have done him any favours either.

Turning a blind eye to his embarrassing moves, Lauren then went on holiday to New York with the Little Britain star — which is where the couple decided to call it a day.

When it was revealed that the pair were to sleep in separate bedrooms while on holiday and they hadn't even been intimate, speculation hit fever pitch as to whether their budding romance was for keeps.

But it wasn't so long ago that Lauren was screaming from the roof tops about how happy she was with the comedian.

Last month, she exclusively told us: “Before we got together we were just really good friends, but he took me out for dinner and he really made me laugh. It's only been a few months, but it's going really well.'

We're sure it won't take too long for David to bounce back and have another lady on his arm, as he has a reputation for being a bit of a lothario.

And we certainly hope that the pair remain friends with each other.

Moral integrity my aunt tilly. We can all stay pure if we date guys who are playing for the other side. It's funny how little of the real world you see when you're up on your hallelujah high horse.

Who says it was her who kept her moral integrity intact?

If indeed you are correct about there not being a physical relationship...she certainly is an amazing young lady...
Keep your moral integrity - it truly is an exception nowadays.
Good luck with your modelling - and only hope that you may just influence a few younger girls to have the same values.
