Cheryl Cole could take a leaf from the book of fellow singer Charlotte Church when it comes to curbing the wayward ways of a partner. Poor old Cheryl has been in the news recently after husband Ashley was arrested for getting stroppy about a photo being taken of him chatting to a pretty blonde on a boozy night out in London.

Charlotte, who has also been upset by her husband Gavin Henson's drunken antics, has come up with a novel (and practical) way to keep him in check - a strict list of daily chores.

A friend of the singer revealed: "Charlotte has been so worried and upset over Gav's celebrations that she has decided to calm him down with a list of daily chores... and there's no getting out of it."

Charlotte, 22, has also enlisted Gav's mum for support-after he was quizzed by police following a drunken celebration of Wales's Six Nations victory over England last month.

It led to him being barred from pubs and clubs in Cardiff. The source continued: "Gavin's mother is also on board, as she agrees that Gavin can easily get out of control when he's on the razzle and needs discipline in his personal life.

"Chores include changing their baby son's nappies, playing with ruby, tending to the 11 chickens, five dogs and two geese and looking after their vegetable patch." However, it seems that being clumsy around the house is a blessing in disguise for Gav, 27. Our source added: "But she doesn't want him anywhere near the cooking and cleaning as he makes a terrible mess, breaks things and gets it all wrong.

"Charlotte thinks Gavin is a wonderful father but thinks he is a pain in the a*se when he's drunk, and she hates that side of him and is determined to bring him to heel."

Sounds like a good idea, eh Cheryl?
