Nice guy Zac Efron's a real crowd pleaser

Updated 12:55pm on 27 Mar 2009

Zac Efron is a ridiculously popular chap at the moment - and he sent thousands of fans in Leicester Square absolutely nuts last night at the premiere of his new movie, 17 Again.

Pressing the flesh: Zac Efron in Leicester Square

The clean-cut star, 21, was very "on message", and gushed: "It's insane. This is the biggest one yet. Tonight's been the best reaction so far. The fans have been waiting there for hours and hours and I want to give them a good time, I hope I don't disappoint them." Nobody complained after he spent two hours signing autographs.

In the movie, Zac plays a guy who gets to be 17 years old again. Asked what he'd do if he was 17 again, he replied: "I wouldn't do anything differently. Maybe take more risks?" That's hard to believe...
