No shortage of hot air at Empire Awards
Updated 12:42pm on 30 Mar 2009Gerard Butler had a good old dig at his pal Guy Ritchie at the Empire Film Awards last night.

Kidding around: Gerard Butler and Guy Ritchie
Collecting the Best British Film for RocknRolla, Gerard was perhaps referring to Guy's divorce from Madonna when he said: “Guy did a great job and it's about time he got something right.”
At which point Guy replied: “That's quite enough of you Gerry.”
Meanwhile, Russell Crowe was up to his old tricks again — boring everyone at Grosvenor House in Mayfair by reciting poetry during his acceptance speech.

Poetic injustice: Russell Crowe
Not even his own poetry, paraphrasing Rudyard Kipling's If. Collecting the Actor Of Our Lifetime gong, he finished with: “Thank you ... for the opportunity to read some poetry at a British awards ceremony. It's one of my favourite things to do.”
We're glad YOU like it.
