Madonna has support of Stella friend

The singer looked in good spirits as she dined out in Mayfair with pal Stella McCartney.

Her bid to adopt three-year-old Malawi orphan Mercy James was rejected on Friday, although she has lodged an appeal.
She took her mind off things by going to her favourite Italian restaurant, Cecconi's, with Stella. Her adoption bid took a new twist when it emerged Mercy's family will fight any attempts by her real father to take his daughter back.
Mercy's uncle Peter Baneti said: “This man didn't care about Mercy's mother. He didn't come to see his baby.
