Anthea Turner booted off Hell's Kitchen

Anthea Turner has become the latest celebrity to be booted out of Hell's Kitchen.

Turner, 48, whose husband Grant Bovey was given his marching orders earlier this week, was told by Marco Pierre White that she had shown "no growth".

Before getting the sack, the former Blue Peter presenter told White: "I wasn't quite sure about you when I first came and your teaching methods.
"I was a little bit on my back foot and I wasn't sure how to react and what to do...

"I honestly feel now that if I go today I will feel that I have let you down, that I haven't worked hard enough and I was brought up to work hard."

But in last night's episode, White later told her: "Anthea, I made Grant a promise when he sat at this table with me that I would look after you and care for you.

"I've enjoyed working with you Anthea, you've been very consistent, very clean, very tidy.

"I like that, but you're exactly the same the day you arrived. There's no growth and that's why Anthea your sacked."

Turner hugged the rest of the team and left Hell's Kitchen.

After feeling the heat in the kitchen, Niomi Daley, aka Ms Dynamite, went to talk to White in his office and the chef admitted that if Bruce Grobbelaar had not resigned earlier this week, he would have sacked her.

He said: "You wanted to throw yourself under the bus and I was going to grant you your wish but Bruce, he'd made his mind up, he wanted to walk."

Daley said: "I feel like I'm ready to go home, but I'm a fighter.

"I was born fighting.. But the last couple of days, for one of the first times in my life I felt a little bit out of my depth."

She added: "I think I've still got the fight Marco."

White offered the singer some words of advice: "Release it then, because if you don't you'll exit Hell's Kitchen (and) not the way you wanted to."
