Rich & Judy's fury as Chloe flies the nest

Updated 12:12pm on 24 Apr 2009

Chloe Madeley risks the wrath of her TV presenter parents Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan after revealing she wants to move in with her boyfriend against their wishes.

Leaving home: Chloe says her dad, Richard Madeley, "isn't happy"

The 21-year-old fledgling telly presenter still lives with her protective folks in north London, but plans to shack up with her beau David McNidder.

The couple met at Leeds University and have been together for two years. But that's not going to placate her parents, who have spoken out to protect her in the past.

Chloe told us: "My brother Jack and I both still live with our parents, but I'm moving out in September. I'm moving in with my boyfriend.

"I've never lived with a boyfriend before, so that's going to be interesting. My parents aren't happy about it. They want me to stay at home as they like having a full nest.

"But I'm going to stay fairly close. We're looking at Camden, which is only about 10 minutes from where they live."

Chloe says she has learned her lesson after pictures of her apparently smoking cannabis emerged in February. She added: "If you want to be professional, you simply can't do it [take drugs]. That's also why I'm avoiding the reality TV route. I've been offered reality shows but turned them down."

She added that she's grateful for her parents' help, but wants to branch out to do her own thing. She said: "It's useful that people connect me with my parents, to get my foot in the door, but I want to move away from that as I get more experience.

"I want to write and present. I've already written for Cosmo and Company magazines."

Just looking at him I can understand her parentes concern...she will probably have to learn by her own mistakes.......it is the only way.
She is lucky she has parents that care...I only hope that she appreciates them.
