Health fear as Susan Boyle goes into hiding
Last updated at 12:02pm on 27.04.09Britain's Got Talent singer Susan Boyle is in hiding amid fears she will not cope with her overnight success.

Stressed: Susan Boyle
The Scottish spinster has been moved to a secret location by her family after becoming world famous. Her brother John, 59, said: “We are worried about her health. She is not used to this and sounds exhausted.”
Miss Boyle's relatives are pushing for her to privately cash in on her singing fame now, rather than wait for the semi-finals, but claim the contractual grip Simon Cowell has over his contestants is stopping the 48-year-old making the most of what could be her 15 minutes in the spotlight.
Programme bosses are demanding she sticks to the contract and stays silent until her next appearance in five weeks' time.
John said: “We're pleading with Simon Cowell to loosen the reins.
“Finally she has the chance to show the world her amazing talent, but is not allowed to.”

My husband and I feel so sorry for Susan Boyle. She has tried very hard and ended up at The Priory. I hope her stay there will be a short one, as I'm sure she must want to get home to family and normality again. God bless her. She has a wonderful singing voice and maybe sometime in the future she will have the courage to compete in more competitions like this again. Good luck to her.

this is all too much too soon for this woman, i hope she gets the peace and space she so deserves. she could be "burnt out" by the time she gets to the final. leave her alone.

I wish Simon Cowell and the whole bunch would go into hiding.

Susan, you have an amazing voice - no denying it! - but remember that you've been entering singing contests since you were 12. If you have 'overnight, world-success' now, this is pretty much entirely thanks to Simon Cowell, so don't be in such a rush to bite the hand that feeds you. There's nothing to stop you picking out what tracks you'd like to put on an album and working on them in the meantime, is there?

This is a case of lack of management and perspective. The last thing
Susan should do is depend on her family for professional guidance. It is
without doubt comforting to have your family's support but my fear is her career will be over before it begins. Her appearance should also be ultra and professionally handled - not locally. Television or whatever medium can exagerate or accentuate and this too requires a specialist view. You get what you pay for. Bide your time Susan and wait for the finals. Good luck.

Susan should try to relax and enjoy her justly deserved world wide acclaim. What an inspiration for all of us! As for Simon Cowel, he knows what he is doing. The skill and editing on Britain's got Talent combined with Susan's superb voice made one of those rare and moving TV moments you remember for ever. So credit where it's due, I am sure Simon and his team will help Susan get the most out of her opportunity. After all, it is not in their interest to do otherwise.

We've seen what happens when paranoid, control-freak TV folk get a grip on punters appearing on their programmes - remember Noel Edmonds and the blood on his hands from the Late, Late Breakfast Show tragedy.

She is a grown woman who entered a television competition. She has a great voice and at 48 why would she want her family telling her what to do? If you don't want the publicity don't go on the telly!!
