Seventies girl Jo Wood leads birthday bash

Updated 12:31pm on 27 Apr 2009

Not many girls would want their boyfriend's mum at their 22nd birthday party.

But when the mother in question is Jo Wood - who can party harder than the average ma - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley made an exception.

The stunning model is dating Jo's son Ty Wood, and celebrated her birthday at the Met Bar in Park Lane with a Seventies-themed bash.

Perhaps 51-year-old Jo was invited so she could provide authentic Seventies outfits. Other guests included Nicole Appleton and Liam Gallagher - who were both sporting rather dashing leopard-print shoes.

A fellow partygoer said: "There were disco balls hanging from the ceiling, sways of fairly lights and fake money hanging on a line, all for the Boogie Nights theme. It was a joint birthday party with Rosie's friend Sophia Greene. Rosie and Ty and a few friends went on to the penthouse suite to continue the party."

Everyone was drinking cocktails and dancing to classic disco tracks. Nobody seemed to notice that Ronnie wasn't even there and everyone had a great time.
