Baby Borat signs up for yoga classes

Updated 12:56pm on 28 Apr 2009

Sacha Baron Cohen and his fiancée Isla Fisher have enrolled their “baby Borat” into yoga classes — at just 16 months old. Isla, the 33-year-old Australian actress and star of The Confessions of a Shopaholic, is taking daughter Olive to classes under the tutelage of a spiritual advisor named Gurmukh Kaur Kahlsa.

The self-proclaimed mystical guru Gurmukh confirmed: “Isla takes our mother-and-child class.”

Out and about: Isla Fisher with daughter Olive

It's certainly something of which 37-year-old Sacha's latest character would approve. He plays a camp Austrian fashion designer in Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Male.

The movie, out in July, shows Bruno auditioning babies as models — asking one mother if her toddler can lose weight in order to reveal cheekbones.

Isla, is a regular fixture on the Hollywood scene and is constantly spotted around town with super-cute Olive.

Gurmukh's post-natal class is the latest fad in Hollywood, and his yoga centre boasts many other celebs.

On the centre's website, Gurmukh's blurb reads: “Since being baptised 35 years ago with the Sikh spiritual name meaning One who helps people across the world ocean', Gurmukh has dedicated her life to fulfilling her namesake.

“For nearly three decades, students in Los Angeles and from around the world have sought out her classes in Kundalini Yoga, meditation, and pre- and post-natal care.”

Supermodel Miranda Kerr and boyfriend Orlando Bloom also checked into Gurmukh's exclusive Hollywood clinic for a “body, mind, spirit” workout in February.

Gurmukh confirmed the booking, adding: “Miranda is seeking spirituality.”
