A neighbour of EastEnders actor Steve McFadden is said to be pregnant with his child.

Soap opera: Steve McFadden is said to have met his new partner on the school run

Dr Rachel Green, a mother of three, has reportedly left her surgeon husband for McFadden, who plays Albert Square hard man Phil Mitchell.

The couple are said to have met on the school run last year, when the actor was single, and their homes were 10 minutes apart.

They are often seen together near their East Finchley homes and Dr Green will give birth to 50-year-old McFadden's fourth child in July.

She has recently moved in with him and neighbours are said to refer to her as “Phil Mitchell's missus”. Her estranged husband is Dr James Green, a private urologist.

A neighbour said: “They act like a married couple and certainly don't hide the fact they're an item.”

McFadden's spokesman would not comment.

I always knew that Steve was a rotten actor - he just plays himself!.

Time for Babs to sort him out i think.

Nice one Bro! I knew you still had it in ya, say hello to mum for me. I'm fine, in Brazil and that, got in a fist fight last night. Bit tasty! Got a black-eye, but lets just say the other guy 'walked into a door.' (i.e. is in the canal.)

I don't understand the attraction. How many different women have had his babies or am I getting confused with an Eastenders plot line?
