Case of the Blues for Chelsea stars

Updated 13:30pm on 7 May 2009

It was all doom and gloom as Chelsea players mourned their exit from the Champions League last night.

Low Lamps: Frank Lampard leaving Raffles members club in Chelsea

After crashing out to Barcelona, Frank Lampard was the only player who ventured out on the town - but he stayed on sparkling mineral water and cranberry juice.

Moody: Didier Drogba is consoled after the match

Lampard had dinner with his father, Frank senior, and two sisters, Natalie and Claire, at Carpaccio's Italian restaurant in Chelsea. Later, the group went to Raffles members club on King's Road, where they stayed until 4.45am, with the rest of Lampard's party sinking vodka and champagne.

Headed home: Terry and wife Toni leave the stadium

The sedate affair was in contrast to Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner, 21, who was photographed staggering out of Boujis with his pants on show in the early hours yesterday after the Gunners' Champions League defeat.

Lampard's team-mates Didier Drogba - whose anger at the referee boiled over after the match - and John Terry were pictured leaving Stamford Bridge but laid low for the rest of the evening.

Drogba left without a hint of a smile, and Terry was in a similar mood as he left the stadium with his wife, Toni.
