Vivienne Westwood's latest muse and budding actress Tolula Adeyemi has revealed plans to stage “pop-up” theatre events around London this summer.

Budding actress: Tolula Adeyemi will appear in a string of short shows and has already performed poetry at a restaurant

Working with a friend, Adeyemi, 25, plans a theatre company with short-run shows to capitalise on the trend for spontaneous arts and fashion events. She has already given a performance of poetry and prose at Shoreditch restaurant Bistrotheque.

Spotted in Topshop at 17, Adeyemi has worked as a model with photographer Ian Rankin, appeared topless for Westwood and is the new face of fashion line Hari.

As an actress, she has worked with Brighton theatre group Dream Think Speak and had a small part in a Dustin Hoffman film, Last Chance Harvey.

She was encouraged to go into acting by her parents. “It was to give me something else to focus on apart from modelling,” she said.

Next up is the Cannes film festival this weekend. “It can be a bit of a nightmare,” she said, “it is so fast paced and intense.''
