Baa-bye Larry Lamb... evil Archie is axed from EastEnders

Eastenders actor Larry Lamb is to be axed — reportedly in a BBC bid to save money.
Lamb, 65, who plays Archie Mitchell, will be leaving Walford along with Kara Tointon, who plays Dawn Swann, and Ricky Groves (Garry Hobbs).

Archie was last seen in April after marrying Barbara Windsor's character Peggy and master-minding several schemes, including lying about his granddaughter's death.
But show insiders said he has run out of storylines and although viewers will see him return next month to beg for forgiveness, it will not be permanent.
An EastEnders spokesman said: “Every BBC programme has to make savings.”
