Not many singers get requests for a duet from their style icons, but Blondie legend Debbie Harry said she would love to perform with Lady GaGa.

Outlandish style: Lady Gaga and Debbie Harry have lots in common

Poker Face singer Gaga, 23, has been compared to Debbie for their outlandish styles, but Debbie doesn't feel her style has been stolen.

Speaking at the Belvedere IX vodka launch Debbie said: “I'd love to [perform with her]. She's wonderful. She's having a great time I think. She's bringing a lot to what she does."

Dancing queen: Debbie Harry is always up for a party

Wearing a black and silver top that GaGa would almost certainly wear, she added: “As a fellow New Yorker I appreciate her punkness, her upper New Yorkness, her tribute to style, being outrageous and playing around."

Ryan Phillipe also attended the Belvedere IX launch to watch Blondie perform. A source at the party said of the Cruel Intentions hunk: “When he arrived, an event organiser offered him a table, but Ryan just said: Leave me alone, get out of my face'.”

This is out of character for Ryan, who normally shies away from high-profile events.

The source continued: “Fifteen minutes later he changed his tune and demanded a table for himself and a group of friends, who proceeded to down a number of bottles of Belvedere IX in just a few hours.

“When he left he was offered an Infiniti luxury car, but instead chose to stumble along the Croissette – the promenade in Cannes – where he almost fell over trying to climb through a barrier.”
