Katie Price vows 'no more tears' over marriage split
Updated 09:27am on 20 May 2009Katie Price revealed today she has moved on to a "new chapter" in her life and will not "shed another tear" over the break-up of her marriage to Peter Andre.
In an interview with OK! magazine, the 30-year-old former glamour model insisted the Australian singer was the love of her life.
But she said the break-up was his decision and he would have to make the first move if he wanted them to get back together.
She said: "I don't want us to split up. I love my husband, but I can't sit around crying.
"This is a new story and a new chapter in my life."
She continued: "Pete is the love of my life and I am so sad and upset by his decision to separate and divorce me as I married him for life.
"This is not what I want, but the decision was taken out of my hands."
Price denied claims that her well-documented wild nights out had led to the couple's separation.
She said: "Pete can't blame this on me drinking. I hardly ever go out.
"Over the five years of our relationship I have probably been out 20 times, which is unusual for a woman of 30.
"I'm not a party girl and I don't drink at home so when I go out I can get drunk quickly."
Price spoke to OK! before flying to a luxury resort in the Maldives with two of her three children, Junior, three, and 23-month-old Princess Tiaamii.
She told the magazine she was "badly missing" her eldest child Harvey, six, who was unable to join her.
The couple, who were married for three and-a-half years, found romance on the reality TV show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
Apparent strains on their relationship have frequently hit the headlines, with their blazing rows often caught on camera for their ITV fly-on-the-wall shows.
Their lavish, fairytale wedding in 2005 saw Price don a huge pink dress and travel in a Cinderella-style carriage to the castle venue.

I think Katie is a great mum...Pete left her so why cant she move on and get on with her life!! i think pete needs to stop playing the hard by done by act and get over it! move on kate has and good for her!!!

If you all really feel that way about Katie then to be honest you should keep your opinions to yourselves, just to spare her and Peter from having to read the spiteful things you have said. Yes, they may have made some bad choices, and broadcasted their lives on tv, but I bet you would all do it if you had the chance to make the sort of money that they do. And to the person who moaned about Katie talking about Harvey-you are cold! She has had so many struggles with him and his illness, but she still carried on fighting and has not given up on him! Could you honestly say that you could cope aswell as she has, and still do a full time job?!

I actually just wish she would show a wee bit of decorum and keep her gob shut for 5 minutes to be honest!!!
There isn't a week goes by that she is not bleating on about harvey, her diet, her sexlife, her horses, her 'work', her breasts, the reductions, the enlargements and so on and so on.
Give us peace from your dreary boring world PLEASE!!!!

Personally I couldn't care less, but as usual its the children I feel sorry for - and Peter. She always seems such a miserable cow - good at making money - but money obviously doesn't bring her any happiness. What she needs is a personality implant!

Doubt she shed any tears - probably has just spent all her time online negotiating payments from magazines. If she was missing Harvey that badly she'd go home. Good on yer Pete, run while you still can, and fight for custody of your children.

I wish she would slip quietly into the back ground, people out here with real problems, my goodness,, the crap i have had in my life,, wish i could cash in, on my misery. blimey i would be stinking rich. She really is not doing herself any favours,, everyone, admired her as she done so well as a single mother,, and a rat of a bloke, but now we have seen her with a decent bloke not my type, but cant take that away from him, he took on her kid, like one of his own,, her downfall is even if gets a decent person shes still never happy. So sick of these celebs, making money out of their life storys where they cock up,, who bloody cares
