Alesha Dixon in talks to host a TV chat show

She's already had major chart success as a solo artist and has become the nation's sweetheart following her win on Strictly Come Dancing. Now Alesha Dixon is ready for her next career step by hosting her own chat show.

Mixing it up: Alesha Dixon says, ideally, her first guest would be Gordon Brown

The 30-year-old singer is in talks with channels BBC, ITV and Channel 4 - all of which are all vying to put her much-loved mug on the small screen.

She told us: "I would like the show to be like the next Tyra Banks Show. I will be completely involved with all areas of production.

"Outside of a normal chat show, I would like mine to be a mixture of entertainment and politics, so my first guest - if I can get him - would be Gordon Brown."

And who would not want to see that interview?

The Boy Does Nothing star has also just been announced to perform at this summer's Wireless festival in Hyde Park, along with rapper Kanye West and Kelly Rowland.

Speaking about her TV break, Alesha said: "Everything is at the early stages at the moment so nothing will happen until next year and it will be for an eightweek run. I was watching This Week and I thought that I could do the same thing but attract a younger audience.

"I have already done some television with youngsters on BBC3 and I would like to involve that element in my show."

Despite the growing trend of groups reforming, Alesha has ruled out a reunion with former Mis-Teeq bandmates Su-Elish Nash and Sabrina Washington - for the moment at least.

She said: "I've always been quite sceptical about a reunion. But at live shows everyone seems to like the old Mis-Teeq songs. We have joked about it but if it was to happen it will be years down the line."
