Cheryl Cole won yet another gong last night as she was named TV personality of the year in Glamour magazine's Women of the Year awards.

The X Factor judge was named best dressed woman by Tatler and sexiest woman in the world by FHM in recent months and took a second Glamour prize as Girls Aloud scooped the band of the year award.

Kylie Minogue also bagged a brace as she was named woman of the year and entrepreneur of the year, while former EastEnders star Michelle Ryan won UK actress of the year.

The awards, now in their sixth year, are voted for by the magazine's readers and recognise the achievements of women in film, TV and music, theatre, business and literature.

Olympic gold medallists Victoria Pendleton, Sarah Storey and Sarah Webb Pippa Wilson won the prize for sportswomen of the year.

From the field of music, Adele was named UK solo artist of the year, R'n'B singer Estelle won the editor's special award and Katy Perry took newcomer of the year.
