Paris Hilton splits from Doug Reinhardt

After months of gushing about being madly in love, Paris Hilton has split from her man Doug Reinhardt. Everyone knows they're not the sharpest tools in the box but it sounds like Doug didn't even realise he'd been dumped. Team Paris confirmed the couple had split after their six-month romance.

Split: Paris and Doug in happier times... earlier this week

However, when Doug was contacted for a response, he said: “No, that's not true. Everything is OK between us.” Odd then that Paris's spokesman insisted: “Yes, this is true! They are no longer together.”

Perhaps they split because they couldn't agree on anything.

As recently as Tuesday the pair were banging on about how in love they were, with Paris describing her baseball player beau as “hotter than Brad Pitt”.

And just the other day Paris, 28, was Twittering about how happy they were during a recent paradise break in Anguilla. Their parents had met and there was even talk of marriage. The high-profile couple worked the showbiz circuit like a pair of troupers. But now their very public union is over, the blonde thicko is asking the media for privacy. You can't have it both ways, lady!
