Susan Boyle: her appearance at the live show is in doubt
Susan Boyle's participation in the first date of this year's Britain's Got Talent live tour remained in doubt today just hours before the gig was due to start.
A spokeswoman for the tour said last night it had not been confirmed either way whether the 48-year-old will perform at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena tonight.
Boyle was admitted to the Priory after coming second in the TV contest.
Police were called to her hotel after she began acting strangely.
Reports claimed she shouted backstage: "I hate this show" and threw a glass of water at a member of staff who tried to calm her.
In the space of a couple of months, Boyle went from the quiet life of a church volunteer to global fame.
The video of her singing I Dreamed A Dream in her Britain's Got Talent audition has been watched hundreds of millions of times on the internet, she has attracted supporters in Hollywood, her face has been plastered across front pages.
The singer from West Lothian left the London clinic after five days.
Since then there have been various reports saying Boyle has not been showing up for rehearsals.
The tour has been billed as containing winning act Diversity plus all the nine other finalists - Julian Smith, Shaheen Jafargholi, Aidan Davis, Stavros Flatley, Hollie Steel, Shaun Smith, Flawless, 2 Grand and Boyle.
Diversity, a 10-piece street dance troupe from Essex, consisting of three groups of brothers and their friends aged from 12 to 25 years old, stormed the final last month with their routine of slick street dance moves.
Troupe leader Ashley Banjo, 20, was praised by the judges for his innovative choreography.
The arena tour, which will travel across the UK until the end of June, will be hosted for the second year running by ITV2's Britain's Got More Talent presenter Stephen Mulhern.
