Questions for Lindsay Lohan over missing Dior jewels
Last updated at 08:37am on 16.06.09Actress Lindsay Lohan could be questioned by the Metropolitan Police about jewellery worth £250,000 which went missing after she modelled it in a fashion photoshoot.
The diamond necklace and earrings were worn by the 22-year-old Hollywood star during a shoot for Elle magazine at Big Sky Studios in north London.
The jewellery, which was loaned to the magazine by fashion house Dior for the shoot on 6 June, was found to be missing two days later.
Lohan is among a number of people who were at the studio who could face questioning. A dozen members of staff are also likely to be interviewed by Scotland Yard.

A Yard spokesman said: “Officers from Westminster police are investigating an allegation of theft of jewellery from studios in Islington. We will be speaking to a number of people in connection with the inquiry.”
A source added: “Jewellery is often loaned out for big celebrities to wear on fashion shoots. Police are working out who had them when they went missing.
“People at Dior are very upset. It's an embarrassment to the mag.”
Lohan, who flew back home to Los Angeles shortly after the shoot, has had a string of brushes with the law in the past.
In May 2007 she was arrested after cocaine was found in her smashed car and went into rehab for 45 days. But in July that year she was again caught with coke.
She served one day in prison and was on probation for three years. She also crashed her car three times between 2004 and 2006 but was not charged.
The Mean Girls star has been more in the news over the past year for her lesbian love affair with DJ Sam Ronson than her film work.
Her latest screen work is for TV. She will appear in an ABC Family Channel comedy called Labour Pains, playing a secretary who falls for her boss's brother while faking a pregnancy to avoid being fired.
