New neighbours? The Beckhams are looking for a London pad

David and Victoria Beckham are househunting in London, it was revealed today.

The couple are searching for a house big enough for them and their three children but are not selling their Hertfordshire Mansion, known as Beckingham Palace.

Instead they will use their London pad as a second home when Beckham ends the US Major League season with LA Galaxy in November.

He is due back at the US football team after a six-month loan to AC Milan, but the search for a home in the capital fuels speculation that Beckham could follow former Milan chief Carlo Ancelotti to Chelsea.

It also emerged the couple are searching for schools in London for their children Brooklyn, ten, Romeo, six, and four-year-old Cruz.

A friend of the family said: “Victoria and David have business interests in London and want somewhere more convenient than Hertfordshire.”

Last week Beckham admitted he wants to move to Europe in December despite having three years left on a £24.4 million-a-year contract with LA galaxy.

Earlier this week, the Beckhams' former nanny apologised for telling tales about the celebrity couple's home life.

Abbie Gibson, who looked after their children for two years, told the High Court that the former England captain had never made insulting or threatening phone calls to her.

Four years after stories appeared in two tabloid Sunday newspapers Ms Gibson issued a formal apology for breaching their privacy.

She also agreed to withdraw her claim for constructive dismissal first lodged in the Employment Tribunal in August 2005.

Is it just me .... or does Victoria Beckham look like one of the greys - a space alien, in that photo.

Keith Price..are you Katie Price in disguist? I'm sure you are! You are in every Beckhams' post, and seems to be hating them, especially Victoria, so much! What have they done to you exactly? And what's wrong in having another house? They can MORE than afford it. At least they are helping the economy. Without people like them, the economy would be much, much worse!

- Moon, KL, Malaysia

Well good luck to them and their longlasting marriage.

not that im jealous or anythin'

- Katie Price, Sussex (& Ibiza)

David Beckham should make enquiries in the House of Conmen - MP's have plenty of second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh homes available at the drop of a hat.

- Reuben Camara, Morecambe UK

How many houses do these annoying, overrated and overpaid people have to their name already ? I think that only if they get divorced will we ever find out. It is scandalous

- Keith Price, Luton, England

I did not know London as big enough to house their enormous egos.
