JK Rowling had to grip her husband's hand for support as she teetered in a pair of extremely high designer shoes. The Harry Potter author leaned on Dr Neil Murray as they left trendy Mayfair restaurant Scott's last night.

Rowling, 43, proved how much the boy wizard's adventures have upped her bank balance as she showed off the £900 gold metallic Christian Louboutin shoes with six-inch heels.

The author, who lives in Scotland, is in London for tonight's premiere of Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince in Leicester Square with star Daniel Radcliffe.
