David Tennant is joined by Lindsay Duncan in The Waters of Mars, the second of four Doctor Who specials being screened on BBC1 this year.

Dr Who monster
Who's that? Doctor Who faces this creature in a new one-off episode

Duncan, whose recent roles include playing former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, plays the Doctor's cleverest and most strong-minded companion yet - Adelaide.

Adelaide does not take kindly to an uninvited appearance by the Doctor.

Alan Ruscoe, who has previously featured in the show in various roles, plays the scary-looking creature, who is the character Andy Stone.

Former Neighbours star Peter O'Brien also guest stars as Ed, Adelaide's second in command.

The Waters of Mars is written by Russell T Davies and Phil Ford and is directed by Graeme Harper.

The show will be screened as part of BBC1's autumn schedule.

I had a Nightmare about the Monster

- Spencer, Australia

Sydney and Ben both have it;it is obviously the offspring or chimera of Hugh F-W and Mick Hucknall.

- Squiz, Islington

Nice to see Mick Hucknall back in the limelight.

- Sydney O'Limpiks, Tower Hamlets

Looks uncannily like Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall with a bad case of sunburn.

- Ben, London

Don't suppose be sponsored by any fast food chain.

- William, Hay~Heath UK

Scary? Hardly. Looks like the average festival-goer after a hard weekend.
