Peter Andre hits out at Katie Price's miscarriage revelations

Peter Andre has criticised his estranged wife, Katie Price, for choosing to speak about her miscarriage, saying the matter should have remained private.
In an interview with Piers Morgan which was broadcast on ITV1 on Saturday, Price revealed she suffered the miscarriage less than a month before the couple split up.
The glamour model-turned-author told how she lost the baby 10 weeks into her pregnancy but continued to run the London Marathon a week later because she did not want to let down sponsors.
Writing in his column in New! magazine, Andre said: "By revealing all about the baby we lost, Kate went against everything we said we'd never do.
"The miscarriage was a devastating time for us both, but I strongly believe it should have remained private.
"Unfortunately, what Kate says is out of my control.
"I can't control what other people do. I can only control what comes out of my mouth."
Andre said he had not intended to watch Price's first major interview since the separation as "I don't care what she says".
But he ended up seeing it with his mother and brother, Mike, as he wanted to know what she was going to say about their family.
Andre also vowed to remain celibate for a few months.
He said: "I'm determined to see it out. I think it's the most honourable thing to do while going through a break-up."
He denied rumours that Chantelle Houghton of Celebrity Big Brother fame was his new girlfriend, saying: "Absolutely not. I'm still hurting over what has happened in the last few months."
Full story appears in this week's New! magazine.

But the odd thing is to plan to run a marathon when you're pregnant - could the training have had any effect on the miscarriage? And Pete 's on
record as not wanting the marathon thing.
Seems to me he's behaved responsibly under extreme provocation whereas she jeopardises everyone close to her. Feisty? Independant? Wilful and selfish more like. Throw in shallow as well!
He'd always got the prospect of a longer career than she had - she's looking rough already.

I don’t know why there is all this sympathy for Peter Andre. At least with Katie Price what you see is what you get. He married Katie knowing her past history and the type of person she is, and when he was a down & out has-been with no money and no chance of anybody being interested in reviving his singing career, this type of woman was good enough for him. Fast forward 4 years later after getting all the press attention from being married to her, when lets face it he would have had NONE had it not been for her, he dumps her and then cites her behaviour as the reason. Rubbish. He has got everything he needed out of her and now feels he doesn’t need her and that he can do it on his own. He is a slimy, cowardice, rat in my eyes and I have no respect for him purely because of the way he has handled this divorce. Marriages break down, but at the end of the day he has children with Katie and to see the way he has reviled her in public makes me feel sick. Katie may have her faults (and yes her antics in Ibiza were wrong) but she was and is a strong, independent, feisty woman, who didn’t need Peter for any other reasons than love when she met him, but still took him in and loved him. She didn’t have any ulterior motives when she met him and now that her marriage is over just wants to continue to be this strong woman she was before he came into her life. I say Go Team Katie!

I don't see why it was private nor why he is so upset about her revelaing the miscarriage...the first miscarriage they had was filmed for national TV and they went into all the gory details...he is not as innocent as he's made to seem, anyone who leaves their wife so soon after a miscarriage and refuses to even talk to her about the separation/divorce is a ****..am glad Katie went off partying and lettin her long tied up by Pete hair down...

For her to get through that race was such a strong thing . I do admire her stregnth but she is too defensive who can blame her when you look at some of her past experiences. I think Pete was the one for her but...Really sad..i am team andre but he should not have publicly left her so soon after a miscarriage she is the mother of his children..

If she was well enough to run the marathon, because she didn't want to let the "sponsors" down, then she was well enough for him to leave her!! This was a private matter that was previously agreed should not be in the public domain, now we are getting crocodile tears for more publicility, not pulling on my heart strings I'm afraid.

I bet he doesn't want anyone to know about this unfortunate miscarriage - shows him up for the RAT he is!

COMPLETE silence on his part would be far more dignified. he'd also frustrate her a lot more that way. he's buying into the whole media circus but either can't or doesn't want to see that. it's children in the playground as usual.

what sort of guy leaves his family straight after his wife suffers a miscarriage!

Can we once and for all see a complete moratorium on anything and everything involving these two talentless nonentities? Enoough is really enough, yet.

Why not just try shutting up and not saying anything for once? That's far more "honourable" than constantly indulging in this tawdry, tit for tat display with your ex, surely?!!!
