Pixie Geldof dropped as Select model

Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe have reportedly been dropped by Select model agency.

The high-profile London-based agency will discontinue its talent section and no longer represent them and fellow model Alice Dellal.

A source said: “The girls were pictured partying hard. They were becoming over-exposed which is probably why Select thought the agency was moving in the wrong direction.”

A Select spokesman confirmed: “It's correct we no longer have a talent section in our agency. This included girls such as Lowe and Geldof but we cannot comment on individuals because of legal issues.”

Lowe was talent-spotted in Camden aged 15. Since then she has modelled for lingerie company Agent Provocateur after replacing Kate Moss as the “face” of the brand.

She has also been in Italian and British Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and this year became the face of Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Geldof, 19, signed to Select at just 16 and has been on the cover of Italian Vogue. She is the face of high street chain New Look. Select signed Brazilian Dellal in 2006.

The oil heiress has since appeared in ad campaigns for Burberry and Agent Provocateur.

Lowe's representative initially refused to comment but later said her client had written to Select cancelling her contract on Tuesday.

No one was available to respond on behalf of Geldof or Dellal.

Sorry to upset you Investment Banker but all three has been snapped up by rival agencies so sadly they wont be disappearing just yet. Not sure about Pixie but Alice and Daisy are hot! And good role models too. You dont have to be as thin as a crack head or as polished as the old 90's super models to be successful. Alice and Daisy break through the clone mould of modelling.

i mean come on! Does any of these three look like a model?? They are just up there due to their families, their connections etc.

They've had a good run. They are not really model material are they? What else do they do? Will we ever see the return of real British models. Of course, there's good old Kate (still beautiful) and gimmicky Aggy (sorry not beautiful) but where are all others. How come we only hear about this lot. Tell me why or am I just missing the plot.

The Geldof girls, such talented little things, we are so blessed to have then passing on their words of wisdom. and covering the red tops.

I think they are great models and as they are so young - we should not judge them so harshly they are young and enjoying life, would we not do the same if we had their opportunities?
I'm sure they will be signed up soon with another agency :)

Their time is finally up. Hopefully they'll disappear. Especially the dreadful Geldof. Shouldn't she be at home doing some homework?
