Michael Douglas’s son 'held for drug dealing'
Updated 12:22pm on 4 Aug 2009The son of Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing.
Cameron Douglas, 30, was reportedly detained by police at New York's Hotel Gansevoort a week ago and charged with dealing methamphetamine.

A New York City police source said an undercover Drug Enforcement Administration operation allegedly found that he was carrying about 8oz (220g) of crystal meth and had reportedly already dealt about $18,000 (£10,597) worth of the drug at the time of the arrest.
The source added that Cameron was living at a hotel, renting his room by the month, and had a similar setup in Miami and LA. They said a DEA informant who visited him to “set up a buy” told officers Cameron “was strung out” and his hotel room was a mess. The informant said Cameron wasn't in his right mind but promised “he could deliver the score”.
Although he said he was unsure whether Douglas handled it himself, “he was busted” and his famous father was “p***ed”. Police sources added that he spent part of last week on suicide watch. There was no comment from Michael Douglas. Cameron was arrested in 2007 on cocaine possession charges.
